Can I rent a phone to use in Japan? |
If you are traveling to JAPAN, chances are YOUR GSM PHONE will not work. Japan uses the WCDMA network. In fact, no US phones will work there.
Mobilesource Corp has the solution for you. Using the brand new Nokia 6650 that works both in GSM 900/1800 networks and WCDMA networks.
Mobilesource Corp gives you two solutions:
You can rent the Nokia 6650 for u$75.00 per week and insert your SIM card and use your own phone number. This solution works only if you have a SIM card with US - based carrier, which allows roaming in Japan.
The other option is to rent the Nokia 6650 with our SIM card with Florida number for only u$50.00 a week and $2.49/minute charge for incoming and outgoing calls to anywhere in Japan, outgoing to the USA and incoming calls as well.
Your coverage in japan will be the same as all other Japanese people using cellular phones.

Rentals: How am I billed for my calls? |
Usually your bill will be sent to you within 3 weeks after you return from your trip. Your bill could be separated in two portions because of the date cycle that the Telephone Company uses. You will receive a full-itemized bill of the call charges. The bill will show you the numbers you called, the date of each call, the duration, and the amount in US dollars. |

Rentals: Will bad weather affect use of a satellite phone? |
You can use a satellite phone in most types of weather conditions, although heavy rain or snow may cut down the signal strength from the satellite. |

Rentals: I am traveling outside of normal cellular phone coverage; do you have any other phones that I can use? |
Mobilesource has Globalstar and Iridium phones which communicate on satellite networks, giving global coverage. Those phones will work anywhere, on water, cruise ships, mountains, etc. They just do not work indoors. |

Rentals: How soon can you send me a phone? |
Mobilesource uses FedEx to deliver our phones. Next day delivery is available. You can call us the day before you leave, and as long as we have phones in stock, we can ship same day. |

Rentals: Do I need to program the phone for each country I will be visiting? |
No, the phone roams automatically, taking the strongest network available. |

Rentals: Will I be able to operate the rented phone? |
All our phones are delivered with a user's manual to operate your phone properly in addition to pocket instructions with all basic operation instructions. |

Rentals: Is my phone ready to use as soon as I receive it? |
You'll be able to call immediately in the operation area. But remember that your phone will not work inside the US because it is already programmed to the overseas frequency. Our phones are delivered with fully charged batteries and with a battery charger compliant with the power supply of the country you are traveling to. |

What if I have a GSM phone and want to rent a SIM card only? |
Yes, if your phone is a GSM phone with frequency 800/1900/1800 that will allow you to use your phone overseas you definitely can rent just a sim card from us, and vice-versa: If you have the SIM and your GSM phone does not work overseas, you can rent just the phone from us. |

Rentals: Can I rent a phone Domestically? |
Yes. Mobilesource can offer you a Phone Rental Domestic Pack, which includes one-week phone rental plus a Prepaid Card worth from 85 to 300 minutes. |

Which are the accepted means of payment? |
We accept all major credit card. And we also offer Net 30 payment terms for corporate customers. |

Rentals: How can I place my phone rental order? |
There are many ways:
a) The easiest and fastest way would be going to our online rental section by clicking on the "Phone Rental" tab on the left column of this screen, then submitting your request by filling out the "Order a Rental Phone" form.
b) If you want, you can print this same form and fax it to us to 561-416-9716.
